A THRILLED mum and dad have announced the birth of their son and his bizarre name in a German newspaper.
Proud parents Alexandra and Gunther spelt it out with a baby bluecolour advert.
The announcement reads: “The small Akaka now has a little brother! Brexit!”
Whether it is a hoax remains unclear, but it still wouldn’t be the most worrying baby name trend of 2016.
The name of the Pokemon anime’s main character, Ash, has been getting traction among little boys.
“THE SMALL AKAKA NOW HAS A LITTLE BROTHER – BREXIT!”
Unusual names including Eevee, Roselia and Onyx are on the rise for girls compared with last year.
But names including Star, Ivy and Shay, are on the rise.
These names pay homage to the Pokemon creatures Starmie, Ivysaur and Shaymin.
It might be further proof that the geeks shall inherit the Earth – in 2014 there was a spike in Anakins and some kids have even been named Mac and Siri.
Lifelong proof to these children that you can choose your friends, but you’re stuck with your folks.
But even these names pale when compared to the staggering foresight of naming your kids after Game of Thrones characters.
Here is our call at Champion Dads – Game of Thrones will date very badly.
History (and by this we mean our children) will not be kind to us for our obsession with white walkers and dragons.
There were 244 Arya’s born in Britain last year. Fair enough , a beautiful name.
More worryingly, there were 53 Khaleesis.
We predict many will be simply “Kelly” by the time they reach preschool.
